PEKITI-TIRSIA
KALI OF DALLAS
Why we are different
This t-shirt says it all
Pekiti Tirsia Kali is about survival. It isn't sports. There are no
rules but survival. We expect multiple opponents. Weapons will always be
involved. Sticks, knives, machetes, pistols, shotguns, rifles, etc.
We don't teach respect for the opponent, only their defeat. We don't teach
honor between attacked and attackers, we teach treachery. We don't teach
defense, we teach offense and counter offense.
We don't give up. Other people teach their knife students that they we
will be cut. We teach that thier opponent will be cut and that no one can
take the knife from their hands.
We are training for situations where we can't "tap out" -- we will
either survive or not.
Our art took many lives to perfect and it has been tested on the
battlefield. It has never evolved into a sport, spiritual endevour,
way to get into shape or anything else beside pure weapon to weapon
fighting with one goal in mind, staying alive and defeating the
opponent. It hasn't been added to, watered down or mixed with other
martial arts.. It doesn't need it. It has been kept pure and was passed
down from one generation to another. It is an original, pristine and
undiluted martial art that keeps to the meaning of the word.
